International Construction is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to support our federal construction projects in Hawaii.
Construction Safety Manager:
- The SSHO is required to have a minimum of 5 years of construction industry safety experience on several projects valued at 2 million or above
- 30-hour OSHA construction safety class or EM385 within the last 5 years
- Average of at least 24 hours of formal safety training each year for the past 5 years with training for competent person status for at least the following 4 areas of competency: Excavation; Scaffolding; Fall protection; Hazardous energy; Confined space; Health hazard recognition, evaluation and control of chemical, physical and biological agents; Personal protective equipment and clothing to include selection, use and maintenance
- SSHO shall have at a minimum a Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification and ideally a Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) certification.
